Two Cheyenne Men Accused of Residential Break-In and Theft of Kitchen Appliance

CHEYENNE, Wyoming โ€” Two local men are facing burglary charges after law enforcement officials accuse them of breaking into a residential home in Cheyenne and stealing a large kitchen stove, along with other household property.

Strange Theft Leads to Police Search

The incident, which occurred in a neighborhood in Cheyenne, was reported by the homeowner who returned to find their front door forced open. Upon inspection, the resident discovered that the kitchen had been ransacked, and a full-sized cooking stove was missing. Investigators noted that removing such a heavy appliance would have required multiple individuals and a suitable transport vehicle.

Following a rapid response and community tips, Cheyenne police officers located a vehicle matching the description of a suspicious truck seen in the area. A subsequent search led to the recovery of the stolen stove and the identification of the two suspects involved in the heist.

Legal Consequences and Charges

Both men have been booked into the local detention center and face felony charges of burglary and theft. Law enforcement officials reminded residents to report any suspicious moving activities or unfamiliar vehicles parked near vacant or quiet properties. "Burglaries can sometimes involve unusual items, but the damage to property and sense of security remains a serious concern," the police department remarked in a statement.
