Two Kedzie Avenue Restaurants Damaged in Attempted Burglaries in Gage Park and Little Village

CHICAGO, IL — Business owners along Kedzie Avenue are cleaning up after attempted burglaries targeted two restaurants in the neighboring Gage Park and Little Village communities. According to the Chicago Police Department, the break-in attempts occurred in the early morning hours, leaving behind shattered glass and damaged entryways.

Police report that in both instances, the suspects attempted to force their way inside the dining establishments but were unsuccessful in accessing cash registers or securing valuables. However, the physical damage to the storefronts has left owners facing immediate repair costs.
