Two Suspects Arrested and Identified in Truist Bank Robbery in South Fort Myers

FORT MYERS, FL — Two suspects are in custody following an armed robbery at a Truist Bank in south Fort Myers on Thursday. The Lee County Sheriff’s Office acted swiftly to apprehend the individuals near the Page Field Commons shopping plaza shortly after the heist took place.

The incident began on Thursday afternoon when deputies received an emergency call regarding an ongoing bank robbery at the Truist branch. According to investigators, the suspects entered the premises, demanded cash, and fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of currency. It was not immediately clear if any weapons were brandished during the confrontation, but bank staff remained unharmed.
