Two Teenagers Charged After Repeated Burglaries at Lincoln Vapor

LINCOLN, Nebraska โ€” The Lincoln Police Department has arrested two teenagers in connection with a series of break-ins at a north Lincoln vape shop. The suspects, identified as 18-year-old Sirwan Win and an unnamed 16-year-old male accomplice, are accused of repeatedly targeting the same business over a six-week span in late 2024.

According to court documents and police reports, the burglaries occurred at Lincoln Vapor, a retail store located in north Lincoln. Investigators determined that the shop was broken into on four separate occasions between mid-October and the end of November 2024. During this spree, the suspects managed to steal vape pens, e-cigarettes, and related retail merchandise valued at approximately $5,500.

Surveillance Footage Leads to Arrests

The breakthrough in the case came when investigators analyzed high-resolution video surveillance from the store. Although detectives initially believed the suspects to be older adults due to their physical builds and coordination, the footage ultimately allowed officers to identify Win and the juvenile suspect. On January 25, 2025, authorities officially announced that both teens had been taken into custody and charged.

Sirwan Win and the 16-year-old have each been cited with four counts of burglary, representing one charge for each of the documented break-ins. The LPD highlighted the importance of commercial security systems in resolving this case, stating that the clear surveillance recordings were instrumental in establishing the identity of the perpetrators and securing the charges.
