Two teenagers charged in Scarborough camera shop smash-and-grab

Two teenagers have been arrested and charged by police following an early morning smash-and-grab robbery targeting a camera store in Scarborough, North Yorkshire.

According to police reports, the suspects shattered the storefront's front window to gain immediate entry. Once inside, they targeted high-value camera equipment, stealing several professional-grade items before fleeing the scene on foot.

Responding officers, aided by security footage and descriptions provided by witnesses, located and arrested the two suspects a short distance away. Most of the stolen merchandise was successfully recovered during the arrest.

The two teenagers face charges including break and enter, theft, and possession of property obtained by crime. They are scheduled to appear in court at a later date, while store owners cleanup the damage and reinforce security gates.
