Two Teens Arrested for Attempted Murder and Multiple Burglaries in Cordova

CORDOVA, TN — The Shelby County Sheriff's Office (SCSO) has announced the arrest of two young suspects, aged 15 and 18, following a series of criminal activities in Cordova, Tennessee. The charges against them include multiple burglaries and shooting at a local homeowner.

The investigation culminated on April 2, 2025, when deputies apprehended the teenagers. Authorities state that the suspects were linked to a string of home break-ins in the Cordova neighborhood. During one of these burglary attempts, the suspect pair was confronted by a homeowner, at whom they fired a weapon before fleeing. Fortunately, the homeowner was not struck by the gunfire.

Following a coordinated effort by sheriff's detectives, both suspects were taken into custody. The 18-year-old suspect is being held in the Shelby County Jail, while the 15-year-old juvenile was processed through the juvenile court system. Both face multiple felony counts, including attempted second-degree murder and burglary.
