Two Teens Charged in Nashville Sounds Ballpark Glove Burglary

NASHVILLE, Tennessee — Metro Nashville police have filed juvenile petitions against two teenagers accused of burglarizing First Horizon Park, the home stadium of the Nashville Sounds minor league baseball team.

The incident occurred in mid-May when the juveniles gained unauthorized access to the ballpark's secure areas. The thieves targeted professional-grade baseball gloves, making off with several items of team equipment. The theft prompted a prompt investigation by the local precinct.

The stolen gloves were custom-made and highly valuable, valued at thousands of dollars in total. Police noted that security measures at the ballpark are being reviewed to prevent future trespasses and ensure the safety of team assets during non-game days.

Following public appeals and review of stadium security footage, the two teens were successfully identified. Officers have recovered the stolen baseball gloves and returned them to the team. The youth face burglary and theft charges in juvenile court.
