Two Tesco stores raided in Fazakerley

According to Liverpoolecho, two Tesco Express stores on Longmoor Lane in Fazakerley were targeted by a masked gang on Wednesday, October 1, 2025. Merseyside Police were first called to the scene at 12:40 am following reports of a break-in where a quantity of cash was stolen and damage was caused to the doors.

A second burglary occurred at another Tesco Express store approximately 1.5 miles away at 2:45 am, where further cash was taken. In both instances, four men wearing balaclavas and riding Sur-ron electric bikes were seen fleeing the area. Police believe the two incidents are linked and have launched an investigation involving CCTV, forensic analysis, and witness enquiries.

Detective Inspector Paula Jones has appealed for anyone in the vicinity of Longmoor Lane, particularly taxi or delivery drivers with dashcam footage, to come forward. Information can be reported to Merseyside Police or anonymously via Crimestoppers.

Business owners are encouraged to review their security measures, including the reinforcement of entry points and the installation of high-quality surveillance systems, to deter unauthorized access.
