Two Women Arrested for Burglary and Assault at Governors Square Mall

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Two women are facing multiple criminal charges following an incident involving assault and burglary at the Governors Square Mall.

Tallahassee police officers were dispatched to the shopping mall after receiving calls about a physical altercation and a suspected break-in. Witnesses reported that two female suspects entered a retail establishment, confronted employees or patrons, and committed an assault. During the disturbance, the suspects also allegedly stole merchandise, leading to charges of burglary.

Responding officers quickly located and detained both women near the mall exit. The victims of the assault received medical evaluations on-site for minor injuries, but did not require hospitalization. The suspects were taken into custody without further disruption to mall operations.

Both individuals have been booked into the Leon County Jail. They face charges including burglary of an occupied structure, assault, and petit theft. Investigators are currently reviewing mall security footage to reconstruct the sequence of events and determine if additional accomplices were involved.
