Unique Suspect Dubbed 'Pantsless Bandit' Arrested After Medford Minute Mart Robbery
MEDFORD, OR โ A highly unusual robbery at a West Medford Minute Mart has ended with the arrest of a suspect dubbed by locals as the "Pantsless Bandit." The Medford Police Department responded to a distress call from the convenience store, leading to a brief search and the subsequent apprehension of the suspect.
According to store employees, a partially clothed male entered the establishment, behaved erratically, and demanded cash from the register. After obtaining a small amount of money, the suspect fled the scene on foot, leaving staff startled by both the robbery and the suspect's lack of attire. Police officers arrived shortly after and set up a perimeter in the West Medford area.
Thanks to multiple reports from witnesses who spotted the distinctive suspect running through adjacent blocks, officers were able to locate the individual within minutes of the initial call. He was taken into custody without further incident. The suspect has been charged with robbery, theft, and public indecency, and is being held at the Jackson County Jail.
The Medford Police Department thanked the alert citizens who promptly reported the suspect's direction of travel, enabling a swift resolution to the bizarre incident.
