Update: High-Risk Response Team Clears Store in Austin, MN, Burglary Investigation Underway

Law enforcement authorities in Austin, Minnesota, are investigating a commercial burglary at a local Runnings store after a high-risk response team cleared the building Monday morning, January 20, 2025.

Police responded to an active alarm at the Runnings retail store. Due to the high risk of armed individuals possibly remaining inside the retail space, a specialized tactical response team was called in to conduct a sweep. A perimeter was established around the area as teams methodically searched the store's interior.
