Van Driver Arrested in Chorley After Audacious £30k Henry Hoover Heist at M61 Services

CHORLEY — Lancashire Police have arrested a van driver in Chorley after an unusual heist resulted in the theft of £30,000 worth of Henry Hoovers from a delivery vehicle parked at the M61 services.

The heist occurred overnight when suspects targeted a heavy goods vehicle carrying a shipment of the iconic red vacuum cleaners. The driver of the delivery vehicle discovered the breach and raised the alarm, prompting an immediate regional police broadcast.

High-Value Theft Intercepted

Road policing officers spotted a suspicious transit van traveling through Chorley shortly after the theft was reported. Upon stopping the vehicle, officers discovered dozens of boxed Henry vacuum cleaners stacked inside the cargo area.
