Video: Houston Homeowner Fatally Shoots Impostor Officers During Home Invasion Attempt

HOUSTON, Texas — A shocking home surveillance video has emerged showing the moment a Houston homeowner opened fire on and killed two armed intruders who were posing as police officers during an attempted home invasion.

The incident, which took place around 3:00 PM on Thursday, September 11, 2025, was captured by the home's security cameras. The footage shows two men dressed in black tactical gear and masks, carrying firearms, approaching the front entrance of the home. One of the suspects can be heard shouting "Police! Open the door!" in an attempt to trick the residents inside.

Knowing that no officers had been summoned, the homeowner quickly realized the threat. As the suspects began using a battering ram or heavy tools to breach the door, the homeowner took up a defensive position inside. The moment the suspects breached the door frame, the homeowner fired several rounds in quick succession, striking both men. The suspects collapsed on the front lawn as they tried to flee the gunfire.

Both suspects were declared dead at the scene by arriving emergency personnel. Investigators confirmed that the weapons carried by the suspects were real, and their gear was designed to mimic official tactical uniforms. The video has been handed over to the Houston Police Department as part of the investigation.
