Armed robbery investigation in Kimberley

According to an article published by the BBC on 20 January 2026, Nottinghamshire Police are seeking information regarding a violent burglary that occurred at a private home on Knowle Lane in Kimberley on 4 December 2025. Five masked men, some armed with a sledgehammer and a pickaxe, forced entry into the property at 19:40 GMT.

BBC reports that the intruders assaulted a man and forced his wife to reveal the location of valuables. The gang stole luxury watches, including rare Audemars Piguet, Rolex, and Omega models, alongside numerous designer handbags and personal items. The total value of the stolen goods and property damage is estimated at nearly £1m. Following the incident, the suspects were observed on CCTV fleeing into nearby woodland, and a grey hatchback with false plates was tracked through several regions.
