According to an article published by the Bbc on 20 January 2026, Nottinghamshire Police are investigating a violent high-value burglary that occurred at a private home on Knowle Lane in Kimberley on 4 December 2025.

Bbc reports that a group of five masked men, armed with a sledgehammer and a pickaxe, forced entry into the property at 19:40 GMT. During the incident, the occupants were threatened and forced to surrender a collection of luxury watches, including rare Audemars Piguet, Rolex, and Omega timepieces, alongside numerous designer handbags. The total value of the stolen goods and property damage is estimated to be close to £1m.

The suspects were observed on CCTV fleeing into nearby woodland, and a grey hatchback with false plates was tracked across several regions following the event. Crimestoppers has offered a £7,500 reward for information leading to an arrest. Detectives have described the incident as a vicious attack that has left the victims with lasting trauma.
