Violent home burglary in Pomeroy

According to an article published on 11 December 2025 by Belfastlive, police are appealing for information following a violent burglary in the Tremoge View area of Pomeroy. The incident occurred on Wednesday, 10 December, at approximately 10:30 pm.

Belfastlive reports that two masked men, dressed in dark clothing with their hoods up, forced entry into a private residence by smashing a glass door with crowbars. Once inside, the intruders demanded money from the occupants, which included a man, a woman, and two children. During the confrontation, the male occupant was punched several times, sustaining bruising to his eyes. All occupants were reported to be extremely shaken by the event.

The PSNI is currently conducting enquiries and has requested that anyone with information contact them via 101, quoting reference number 1711 of 10/12/25. Reports can also be made anonymously through Crimestoppers.
