Violent Joliet Home Invasion Leads to Multiple Arrests After Ex-Boyfriend Attacked

JOLIET, IL — A domestic dispute escalated into a violent home invasion in Joliet, resulting in charges against a 19-year-old woman and a male suspect. The Joliet Police Department intervened after receiving reports of an active assault inside a residential property.

According to police statements, the 19-year-old female suspect allegedly forced entry into a Joliet residence with the intent to confront her ex-boyfriend. Once inside, she physically assaulted her ex-boyfriend and other occupants who attempted to intervene. The attack caused minor injuries to the victims before officers arrived at the scene.

A male suspect was also arrested at the location and charged with battery in connection with the home invasion. Police indicated that the man accompanied the female suspect and actively participated in the physical altercations during the breach.

Both individuals were taken into custody and processed at the Will County Adult Detention Center. The female suspect is charged with home invasion and domestic battery, while the male suspect faces battery charges. Neighbors expressed shock over the incident, noting the neighborhood is typically quiet and peaceful.
