Violent home invasion in Chatham
According to an article published on 31 March 2025 by Kentlive, a group of masked men armed with bladed weapons carried out a violent burglary at a private home near Luton Road, Chatham, on 8 September 2023. The intruders forced entry into the premises, woke the occupants, and assaulted one of them while demanding valuables. The group fled the scene with two watches and two mobile phones.
Following an extensive police investigation involving forensic analysis, several individuals were identified and arrested. Multiple offenders have since been convicted and sentenced to prison terms ranging from seven to over 11 years. Most recently, on 27 March 2025, 24-year-old Gheorghe-Hagi Constantin was found guilty of aggravated burglary and sentenced to 11 years in prison for his key role in the incident. Kentlive reports that authorities are continuing their efforts to locate remaining suspects involved in the crime.
