Wave of Armed Robberies Targets El Paso Convenience Stores; Police Seek Suspects

EL PASO, Texas — A string of armed robberies targeting local convenience stores has prompted intensified investigations by the El Paso Police Department. Over the past several months, multiple locations, including several Circle K convenience stores, have been hit by robbers brandishing weapons, raising safety concerns for retail employees and late-night shoppers.

In Northeast El Paso, police are searching for a masked gunman who held up a Circle K store at gunpoint. Surveillance footage captured the suspect demanding cash before fleeing. Law enforcement released security video showing the suspect in the hope that members of the public might recognize his clothing or build. In a separate incident in the same sector, two men were filmed robbing a convenience store, prompting another call for community assistance.

The crime spree has also involved younger suspects. In Central El Paso, police arrested two teenage girls accused of robbing a Circle K store at knifepoint. Meanwhile, in the Lower Valley area, a group of teenagers reportedly stole beer from a convenience store while threatening clerks at gunpoint. El Paso detectives are reviewing surveillance footage across these various incidents to determine if any of the cases are linked.
