West Midlands Police Release CCTV Appeal After Attempted Burglary in Hall Green

HALL GREEN, Birmingham — West Midlands Police have released a CCTV image and are appealing for the public's help to identify a man following an attempted burglary in the Hall Green area of Birmingham. The suspect was captured on camera outside a residential address in Sherwood Mews.

The Attempted Break-In

The incident occurred on Thursday, July 24, 2025, at approximately 5:50 p.m. A man walked up a driveway on Sherwood Mews, a quiet cul-de-sac located off Robin Hood Lane, and made an attempt to force entry into the property. The break-in attempt was unsuccessful, and the suspect fled the scene shortly after.

Suspect Description and Police Appeal

Investigating officers have released an image of a man they wish to speak to. He is described as a white male, clean-shaven, and was wearing a royal blue baseball cap at the time of the incident. Additionally, he was wearing a black zip-up hoodie featuring a prominent white zip, black trousers, and shiny black shoes.

A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said: “We want to speak to this man following an attempted burglary in Birmingham. It happened at an address in Sherwood Mews, Hall Green, at just before 5.50pm on 24 July.
