West Midlands Police Seek Masked Trio After Acocks Green Mobile Phone Shop Robbery

ACOCKS GREEN, Birmingham — West Midlands Police have launched a public appeal to identify three masked men wanted in connection with a morning robbery at a commercial property in Acocks Green. The robbery took place at a mobile phone store on Warwick Road, resulting in the theft of high-value inventory.

At approximately 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, the three individuals entered the shop. The suspects, who wore black face masks or balaclavas and black hooded tops to hide their identities, confronted staff and stole a large quantity of mobile phones before escaping. No physical injuries were reported during the raid, but staff members were left shaken by the encounter.

Police Investigation and CCTV Appeal

Detectives investigating the robbery have released CCTV images of the suspects in the hope that members of the public might recognize their clothing, build, or movements. Police acknowledge that the use of face coverings has made direct facial identification difficult, and they are urging anyone who was in the vicinity of Warwick Road at the time, or who may have dashcam footage, to contact West Midlands Police immediately.
