Senior Severely Injured in Violent Daylight Home Invasion in Surrey

The Surrey Police Service's Major Crime Section has taken over an investigation following a disturbing and violent daytime home invasion that left a senior citizen hospitalized with serious injuries.

Daytime Attack on 32B Avenue

The horrifying incident unfolded on the morning of Friday, March 27. According to authorities, police were dispatched at approximately 11:15 a.m. to a residence located in the 14400 block of 32B Avenue.

Emergency crews were responding to urgent reports from the neighbourhood indicating that a group of armed individuals had forcefully entered the home and had subsequently been seen fleeing the property shortly after.

65-Year-Old Woman Hospitalized

Upon arriving at the scene and securing the residence, officers discovered the sole occupant, a 65-year-old woman, in acute medical distress inside the home.

Police investigators confirmed that the senior was suffering from a severe injury that appeared to be directly consistent with being violently struck by a blunt object. Due to the severity of her condition, she was immediately stabilized by paramedics and rushed to a local hospital for emergency medical treatment.

Motive Unknown as Investigation Deepens

The SPS Major Crime Section is currently leading the investigation into the brazen attack. Detectives are canvassing the neighbourhood for witnesses and searching for any available security or dashcam footage.

At this early stage in the investigation, police have stated that the exact motive behind the violent home invasion remains entirely unknown. Authorities have not yet confirmed if this was a targeted attack against the senior or a random act of violence.
