JCB Teleporter Driven Through Supermarket Shopfront During Mallow Burglary

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following a dramatic burglary that occurred at a business premises in Mallow, County Cork. The incident took place in the early hours of Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at approximately 1:30 am.

Incident Details

The targeted premises is a supermarket located off the R619 in the Bellevue area of Mallow. During the course of the break-in, the perpetrators used heavy machinery, driving a JCB teleporter directly through the shopfront to gain access. Additionally, investigators report that a white Peugeot flatbed truck was also used by the perpetrators at the scene.

Investigations into the incident are ongoing, and Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to come forward. In particular, road users who may have been travelling in the Mallow area around the time of the incident and who might have camera or dash-cam footage are asked to review their recordings.
