Armed Robberies at Three Tuscaloosa Area Dollar Generals

Tuscaloosa, Alabama - A man has been charged with armed robberies at three Dollar General stores in the Tuscaloosa area. The incidents occurred at the Dollar General stores located at 1000 15th Street East, 2000 University Boulevard East, and 3000 McFarland Boulevard East. The robberies took place on August 15, 2023, between 8:00 PM and 10:00 PM. The suspect, armed with a handgun, entered each store and demanded cash from the registers. The total amount stolen from all three stores is estimated to be $5,000. The suspect fled the scene on foot each time and was not apprehended at the time of the robberies.

The Tuscaloosa Police Department has since arrested the suspect, who has been identified as John Doe. The arrest was made following a thorough investigation and the review of surveillance footage from the stores. No injuries were reported in any of the incidents.
