Armed Robbery at Northwest Raleigh Walgreens

On October 2, 2023, an armed robbery occurred at a Walgreens located at 4701 New Bern Ave, in northwest Raleigh, North Carolina. Two men entered the store, brandishing a firearm, and demanded prescription drugs and cash from the pharmacy. The suspects stole an estimated $10,000 worth of prescription drugs and an undisclosed amount of cash. The incident was captured on the store's surveillance cameras, which showed the suspects fleeing the scene in a dark-colored sedan.

Raleigh police have identified one of the suspects as 18-year-old Tyree McCray. McCray was charged with two counts of armed robbery in connection with this incident and another robbery at a different Raleigh pharmacy. The second suspect remains at large, and police are actively searching for him. No injuries were reported during the robbery. The police have released surveillance footage and are appealing to the public for any information that could lead to the arrest of the second suspect.
