Armed Suspects on the Run After Attempted Robbery at Anglers Arms in Southport

Detectives have launched an urgent investigation following a dramatic attempted armed robbery at the popular Anglers Arms venue in Southport. Staff members were left deeply shaken after two individuals, wielding a knife and a firearm, threatened employees before fleeing the scene empty-handed.

The incident occurred late in the evening when two masked suspects entered the premises. According to witnesses, the men confronted staff behind the counter, demanding cash while brandishing weapons. Despite the immense pressure and threat of violence, the staff managed to trigger security alarms, prompting the suspects to flee before obtaining any money or valuables.
