West Hartford, Connecticut—Police are searching for a suspect involved in an attempted armed robbery at the Family Dollar store located at 1015 New Britain Avenue, West Hartford, on the evening of August 24. The suspect, described as a male wearing a black hoodie and black pants, entered the store around 8:30 PM and demanded money from the cashier. The suspect did not display a weapon but threatened the cashier verbally. The cashier complied and handed over an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect then fled the scene on foot, heading northbound on New Britain Avenue.
