Bank Robbery and Arrest in Versailles, Kentucky

On October 18, 2023, a bank robbery occurred at the PNC Bank located at 100 Main Street in Versailles, Kentucky. The suspect, later identified as 35-year-old John Doe, entered the bank and demanded cash from a teller. The exact amount stolen has not been disclosed, but it is known that Doe fled the scene with an undisclosed sum of money.

Following the robbery, authorities launched an immediate investigation. Versailles Police Department officers, along with assistance from the Kentucky State Police, were able to apprehend John Doe a short distance from the bank. Doe was found to be in possession of a portion of the stolen money, which was recovered by the authorities. No injuries were reported during the incident.

John Doe has been charged with first-degree robbery and is currently being held at the Woodford County Detention Center.
