Bend Man Arrested After Robbery and Assaults at Laundromat and Convenience Store

On the evening of October 1, a series of robberies and assaults occurred in Bend, Oregon. The first incident took place at a laundromat on NE 3rd Street, where an unidentified man entered the establishment and demanded cash from the attendant. The suspect assaulted the attendant, causing minor injuries, and fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Shortly after, the same suspect targeted a convenience store on NW 4th Street. He entered the store, assaulted the clerk, and stole an estimated $500 in cash and merchandise. The suspect then fled the scene on foot. Police were able to apprehend the suspect a short distance away from the convenience store. The suspect, identified as a 35-year-old local man, was taken into custody without further incident. No injuries were reported to the public or the police during the arrest.
