Bronson Battersby: Skegness flat burgled after bodies found

In a shocking development, the Skegness flat where two-year-old Bronson Battersby and his father Kenneth were discovered dead has been targeted by burglars. The break-in is believed to have taken place shortly after police and emergency services had finished securing the scene, sparking widespread condemnation from the local community.

According to Lincolnshire Police, entry was gained to the property on Ancaster Avenue, and several items were stolen. The burglary occurred during a period of immense grief and public interest surrounding the tragic deaths of the toddler and his father, who are believed to have died from dehydration and natural causes respectively, weeks before they were found.

Local residents have expressed disgust at the timing and nature of the burglary. A police spokesperson confirmed that an investigation has been launched to identify those responsible for the theft. Officers are carrying out enquiries in the neighborhood, examining security footage, and appealing for witnesses who may have seen anyone entering or leaving the property.

The incident has added further distress to a family already devastated by the double tragedy. Police have increased patrols in the area to reassure residents and deter further criminal activity at the site.
