Burglary and Arrests in Sherman Oaks

On June 1, 2023, a burglary occurred at a residence in the 14600 block of Ventura Boulevard in Sherman Oaks, California. The suspects gained entry by breaking a window and stole jewelry valued at $20,000. The suspects fled the scene in a vehicle, which was later found abandoned on the 1300 block of Ventura Boulevard.

The Los Angeles Police Department's Burglary Task Force, in collaboration with the West Valley Division, responded to the incident. Two suspects, identified as 26-year-old Jose Luis Rodriguez and 25-year-old Jose Luis Rodriguez, were arrested after a foot pursuit. Both suspects were taken into custody and booked on suspicion of burglary and possession of stolen property. The investigation is ongoing, and the police are appealing for any additional information from the public.
