Burglary and Homicide in Kenosha Leads to Arrest

On October 13, 2023, a burglary at a residence on 22nd Avenue in Kenosha, Wisconsin, turned tragic when a man and his dog were found dead. The incident occurred around 11:30 p.m. when the suspect, later identified as 34-year-old Jason J. Williams, broke into the home. Williams, who was armed with a knife, confronted the homeowner, 40-year-old John Doe, and his dog. A struggle ensued, resulting in the deaths of both the homeowner and his pet. Williams then fled the scene.

The Kenosha Police Department responded to the scene and launched an investigation. The following day, Williams was apprehended by police. He was charged with burglary, homicide, and theft. The stolen items, valued at approximately $5,000, included electronics and jewelry. Williams was bound over for trial on November 1, 2023.
