Burglary and Mail Theft in Rochester Leads to Arrest

On the night of September 29, 2023, a burglary and mail theft occurred at a residence on the High Street in Rochester. The perpetrator gained entry through a rear window, which had been forced open. Once inside, the intruder ransacked the property, stealing a substantial amount of cash and jewelry, valued at approximately £5,000.

Kent Police have made an arrest in connection with the incident. A 35-year-old man was apprehended on October 1, 2023, in relation to the burglary and mail theft. The suspect was taken into custody and is currently being held for questioning. The police are appealing for any witnesses or individuals with information to come forward, as the investigation is ongoing.
