Wigan Teenager Arrested for Aggravated Burglary and Threats

A 17-year-old male from Wigan was arrested and remanded into custody on charges of aggravated burglary and issuing arson and death threats. The incident occurred on the 23rd of August 2023 at a residence on Lower Ince Road, Wigan.

The teenager forced entry into the property by breaking a window and gained access to the home. Once inside, the suspect stole a sum of cash and a quantity of jewelry, valued at approximately £10,000. The teenager then fled the scene on foot.

Police have appealed for any witnesses or anyone with information about the incident to come forward. No injuries were reported in the burglary. The suspect was apprehended later that day and is currently awaiting further legal proceedings.
