Burglary and Theft at Sarasota Shops: Suspect at Large

On December 12, 2023, a woman wearing a motorcycle helmet and dark clothing entered multiple shops in the 2000 block of Ringling Boulevard, Sarasota, Florida. She smashed display cases and stole jewelry and cash, leaving a trail of destruction.

The suspect, described as a white female in her 30s, was seen fleeing the scene on foot. She was last seen heading north on Ringling Boulevard. The total value of the stolen items is estimated to be around $10,000. No injuries were reported, but the shops sustained significant damage.
