Burglary at El Cerrito Home Leaves Suspect at Large

On the night of October 11, a burglary suspect broke into a home on the 600 block of Fairmount Avenue in El Cerrito, California. The residents, a man and a woman, were awakened by the sound of the intruder and confronted him. The suspect, described as a male wearing a black hoodie and dark pants, fled the scene without causing any physical injuries to the residents.

The suspect stole a safe containing an estimated $10,000 in cash and jewelry. The El Cerrito Police Department is investigating the incident and has appealed to the public for any information that could lead to the arrest of the suspect.
