Burglary at Village Inn and New Star in Waterloo

On April 12, 2023, two individuals were charged in connection with burglaries at Village Inn and New Star, both located at 1101 Ankeny Blvd, Waterloo, Iowa. The suspects gained entry by breaking windows and stole cash and cigarettes valued at $2,000.

Police responded to the scene and found no injuries. The suspects fled the area in a vehicle and were later apprehended. The vehicle used in the escape was a white 2005 Ford Taurus. The suspects were identified as 25-year-old John Doe and 23-year-old Jane Smith. Both were charged with burglary in the third degree and are being held at the Black Hawk County Jail.
