Three men charged after roof incident at tea shop

According to an article published by Theoldhamtimes on 30 January 2024, three men have been charged with burglary following an incident at Cameron's Tea and Coffee Shop in Ashton-under-Lyne. Emergency services were called to Market Avenue on the evening of Sunday, 28 January, after reports indicated that individuals were stuck on the roof of the premises.

Greater Manchester Police reported that officers cornered the men as they moved across the rooftops. During the pursuit, one individual sustained an ankle and elbow injury. The three suspects, identified as Macauley Dodd, Curtis Gilmore, and Mason Albert Billington, were arrested at the scene. In addition to the burglary charge, Dodd faces a charge for possession of a Class B drug.
