Burglary in Skokie Leads to Police Chase, Injuries, and Arrests

On the evening of October 12, 2023, a burglary occurred at a residence on the 8500 block of North Kedzie Avenue in Skokie, Illinois. The burglars gained entry by forcing open a rear door and stole electronics and jewelry valued at $10,000.

During the burglary, the suspects were spotted by a neighbor, leading to a police pursuit. The pursuit resulted in a crash involving two Skokie police officers, who sustained injuries. The suspects fled the scene on foot but were later apprehended by the police. The injured officers were transported to a local hospital for treatment.
