Burglary Spree in Wootton, Old Stratford, and Milton Keynes Leads to Arrests

On January 31, 2022, Johnny Connors, aged 22, and John Price, aged 25, were involved in a series of burglaries and attempted break-ins across Northamptonshire. Connors, who previously resided in Bitteswell, Leicestershire, and Price, from Fletton, Peterborough, committed a burglary together in Norton Crescent, Towcester, on September 10, 2021. During this incident, the pair broke in through a back door and stole cash from the property.

On January 31, 2022, Connors traveled from Wootton in Northampton to Old Stratford and then to Milton Keynes, completing three burglaries and attempting to break into another home. Northamptonshire Police investigated these crimes and linked Connors to a further break-in attempt reported in Milton Keynes. Connors was charged with four counts of burglary and one count of attempted burglary, while Price was charged with one count of burglary and one count of aggravated vehicle taking in connection with an offense outside of Northamptonshire.

Both men pleaded guilty to the offenses at Northampton Crown Court last October and were sentenced on January 20, 2023. Connors received a sentence of four years and five months in prison, while Price was sentenced to two years and three months. PC Christina Cooper from Northamptonshire Policeโ€™s Burglary Team emphasized the seriousness with which the police take burglary in the county and urged the public to report any suspicious activity.
