Crewe Co-op Burglary: Police Appeal After Four Men Break In and Steal Cash

CREWE, Cheshire — Detectives in Crewe are appealing for information, CCTV, and doorbell footage following a late-night break-in at a local convenience store where a quantity of cash was stolen.

The burglary occurred at the Co-op food store on Parkers Road, Crewe, on the night of Sunday, January 28, 2024. According to police reports, four men forced entry into the commercial premises at approximately 11:55 p.m.

Cash Stolen

Once inside the store, the suspects targeted the cash holdings, successfully stealing a quantity of cash before fleeing the scene. It is believed they left the immediate vicinity shortly after midnight, though their direction of travel and any vehicles used remain under investigation.

Police Appeal and Investigation

Crewe CID has commenced an active investigation into the incident and is requesting the public's assistance. Officers are particularly keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed suspicious activity in the area at the time of the break-in, or who may have captured the suspects on home security systems.

“We are currently investigating the burglary at the Parkers Road Co-op and are asking local residents to review their CCTV or video doorbell footage,” a spokesperson for Cheshire Police said. “Even a small detail could be crucial to identifying the individuals involved.”
