Five Shops Burglarized in San Rafael Shopping Plaza

On the night of October 1, 2023, five shops in the San Rafael Shopping Plaza, located at 1100 4th Street in San Rafael, California, were targeted by burglars. The thieves broke into the shops through the front doors, which were forced open, and made off with an estimated $20,000 in cash and merchandise. The shops affected include a clothing store, a jewelry store, a convenience store, a bakery, and a bookstore.

According to the Marin County Sheriff's Office, the burglars escaped in a dark-colored sedan. No arrests have been made, and no injuries were reported. The police are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with information to come forward. Surveillance footage from the area is being reviewed to identify the suspects.
