Gardaí Investigate Daytime Burglary at Galway Parochial House
Gardaí in Galway have launched an intensive investigation following a brazen daytime burglary at a local parochial house, which left the property ransacked and the local community in shock.
The incident occurred during daylight hours on Thursday, May 14, 2026. Intruders managed to gain entry to the residence, which is associated with the local parish, before conducting a thorough search of the premises. According to initial reports, various rooms inside the parochial house were ransacked as the perpetrator or perpetrators searched for valuables.
Local community representatives have expressed their anger and dismay over the incident, noting that parochial houses and community properties are often targeted by opportunistic criminals. Gardaí have conducted a detailed forensic examination of the scene in an effort to identify those responsible.
