Gas Station Burglar in Tuscaloosa Dressed as Scooby-Doo

Tuscaloosa police are on the hunt for a burglar who made a daring escape after stealing over $1,000 in cash and cigarettes from a local gas station. The incident occurred on the night of October 12, 2023, at the BP gas station on 15th Street. The thief, dressed in a full Scooby-Doo costume, managed to evade capture despite the efforts of the police.

The suspect entered the gas station around 11:30 PM, brandishing a handgun and demanding cash from the register. After obtaining the money, the thief also took a large quantity of cigarettes before fleeing the scene on foot. The entire incident was captured on the gas station's surveillance cameras, providing police with clear footage of the suspect's escape route and appearance. Despite the detailed footage, the suspect has not yet been identified or apprehended.
