'Get Back': Armed Robber Threatens Wakefield Garage Worker at Knife Point

WAKEFIELD, West Yorkshire — West Yorkshire Police are investigating a harrowing armed robbery at a local service station in Wakefield, where a store worker was threatened with a knife.

The incident occurred during an evening shift when a lone male entered the garage premises. He quickly confronted the worker behind the counter, brandishing a knife and aggressively shouting, "Get back!" The terrified employee complied, raising their hands as the suspect filled a bag with high-value vape products and other merchandise.

Fortunately, the worker did not sustain physical injuries, though police described the ordeal as highly traumatizing. The suspect fled the scene on foot before officers arrived.

Detectives have launched a full investigation, reviewing CCTV footage from the garage and surrounding premises. They are urging anyone who witnessed suspicious activity in the area at the time of the incident to contact local police immediately.
