Gunpoint Robbery Occurs During Meetup in Franklin Twp

A man was robbed at gunpoint during a meetup with a woman in Franklin Twp, resulting in the theft of $1,200 in cash and a vehicle. The incident occurred on Wednesday, September 20, 2023, at a residence on the 100 block of East Main Street. The victim, a 31-year-old man, was forced to hand over the cash and his vehicle at gunpoint. The suspect, identified as 27-year-old John Doe, fled the scene in the stolen vehicle. The victim was not injured during the robbery.

Police have since arrested John Doe, who is facing charges of robbery and theft. The stolen vehicle, a 2020 Honda Civic, has not yet been recovered.
