On the night of October 12, 2023, a home invasion occurred at a residence in the 100 block of South Lincoln Avenue in O’Fallon, Illinois. The intruder, later identified as 25-year-old Brandon Lee, forced his way into the home through a rear door, which had been left unlocked. Lee, armed with a handgun, confronted the homeowner, a 35-year-old woman, and demanded money and valuables. The woman, in an attempt to defend herself, was shot in the leg during the altercation.
