Home Invasion and Vehicle Theft in Secaucus

On February 12, 2023, a home invasion and vehicle theft occurred at a residence on Grace Avenue in Secaucus, New Jersey. The suspects, two teenagers from Newark, entered the home through a rear window, which they forced open. They stole jewelry valued at $10,000 and a vehicle from the driveway. The vehicle, a 2019 Honda Civic, was later recovered by police in Newark.

The suspects fled the scene in the stolen vehicle. The homeowner, who was present during the incident, was not injured. Secaucus Police Chief Dennis Miller stated that the investigation is ongoing and urged anyone with information to come forward. The two suspects, both 17-year-old males, were arrested and charged with burglary, theft, and criminal mischief. They are currently being held at the Hudson County Youth Detention Center.
