Home Invasion in Anderson Leads to Shooting and Arrests

On October 2, 2023, a home invasion in Anderson, South Carolina, resulted in an intruder being shot and three other suspects being arrested. The incident occurred at a residence on North Main Street. According to the Anderson Police Department (APD), the intruders forced their way into the home, and during the altercation, one of the suspects was shot by the homeowner. The intruder was taken to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

The three other suspects, identified as John Doe, Jane Smith, and Michael Johnson, were apprehended by police shortly after the incident. The stolen items, which included electronics and jewelry valued at approximately $5,000, were recovered during the arrests. The intruders escaped in a vehicle, which was later found abandoned nearby. The APD is appealing to the public for any additional information that could aid in the ongoing investigation.
