Man Arrested Following Early Morning Break-In at Manston Road Tesco in Margate

MARGATE — A man has been taken into police custody following a break-in at the Tesco supermarket located on Manston Road in Margate.

The alarm was raised in the early hours when security systems at the store detected an unauthorized entry. Kent Police officers responded swiftly to the scene, arriving to find signs of forced entry at the retail premises. Following a quick search of the immediate vicinity, officers located and arrested a suspect connection with the incident.

Staff members arriving for their morning shifts were greeted by police tape, though the store was able to open to the public later in the day once initial forensic inquiries were completed.
